 It is with profound sadness that we mark the sudden death of Amy Elizabeth Mann on October 22, 2014.

Amy is survived by her parents and her sister, Katie Mann. She is predeceased by her beloved grandmother, Ida Mae “Nanny” Sutphin.

Amy was born on July 30, 1983 to Barbara and Charlie Mann of Hunterdon County.

Amy attended North Hunterdon Regional High School and RVCC. She went into the jewelry business where her eclectic sense of style, personal charm and energy shined.

Amy had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to entertain-she was a great hostess, excellent cook and a gifted storyteller and could coax a smile or a laugh from even the grumpiest person.

Amy touched our lives as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin. We will remember Amy as a creative and truly unique young woman who loved music and beautiful things. She loved her dogs Chloe and Heath very much.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 8PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6-8PM. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Russell Loveall, age 57 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, formerly of Sullivan, IL, died on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Decatur, Illinois, September 6, 1957, he was the son of Barbara Jean Morgan Loveall of Mesa, AZ and the late Dean Loveall.

He was a self-employed business consultant and the owner of Loveall Consulting.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of fifteen years, Jennifer Hager Loveall; his children: Dean Loveall of Atlanta, GA, Zachary Loveall of Anchorage, AK, Alexandria Loveall of Nutley, NJ, and Ian Loveall of Nutley, NJ; his step-children: Susan Long of Staten Island, NY and Brent Long of Flemington, NJ; his siblings: Steve Loveall of Sullivan, IL, Dianna Guilinger of Glendale, AZ, Brian Loveall of Mesa, AZ, and Greg Loveall of Mesa, AZ; and a grandson, Gavin Loveall.

Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ – Duane S. Williams, 70, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ.

Born November 18, 1943 in Scranton, PA, Duane lived in Colonia, NJ before moving to Holland Township, NJ in 1970. Duane served in the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He worked at General Motors in Clark, NJ for 30 years. Duane enjoyed the outdoors, classic cars and music. He was known for providing music for “Duane’s Corner” on Joe Buds radio show on WDVR.

Son of the late Chester and Mary Williams, Duane is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Margaret G. Williams, his son Stephen Williams of Annandale, NJ, his daughter Lisa Williams of Flemington, NJ, and his sister Carol Moskowitz of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be private under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, NJ.

Audrey Dalrymple, 90, from Kingwood Township

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Audrey Dalrymple, 90, from Kingwood Township, NJ passed away on October 26, 2014 at the Souderton Mennonite Home in Souderton, PA where she resided since 2011.

Audrey was born on March 26, 1924 in Oklahoma City and has resided in Kingwood Township, NJ since her marriage to Francis Dalrymple on November 22, 1945. Audrey attended Central State University in Oklahoma earning a degree in Biological Science, Chemistry and Math in 1945. She taught Algebra I through Calculus in Marlow, Oklahoma, also teaching science in Franklin Township, NJ. Audrey taught 7th and 8th grade math and science at Kingwood Township Elementary School. Audrey had excelled in academics and leadership in Central State where she served as class president in her senior year. She used her talents serving at the Baptistown Baptist Church where she was a member for over 60 years, especially in Christian education and choir. Audrey also participated in senior groups in Hunterdon County.

Audrey and Frank travelled together, visiting family in the western and southern US. Quilting, baking, and cooking were among her talents appreciated by her family of 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Audrey is the daughter of the late William and Harriet Dodd. Her beloved husband, Frank L. Dalrymple passed away in 2005. Audrey is survived by Patricia Myers and her husband Rick of Souderton, PA, Lynette Smith and her husband Len of Seattle, WA, Dr. Robert Dalrymple of Gaithersburg, MD, Rev. William Dalrymple and his wife Lynne of Wappingers Falls, NY, and her sister Doris Buys of Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1 PM at the Baptistown Baptist Church, Route 519, Baptistown (Kingwood Township), NJ. Interment will follow in the Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of the service, in the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home in Milford, NJ.

Thomas Joseph Prisk, 80

Thomas Joseph Prisk, 80 of Washington Township, NJ died on Friday October 24, 2014 at the Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough NJ.

 

Born and raised in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Collett Prisk and Thomas J. Prisk, Sr. Mr. Prisk lived in Metuchen, NJ; Boston, MA; Chatham Township, NJ and Hampton, NJ before moving to Washington Township in 2003. While residing in Hampton, he and his wife owned and operated Squash Tree Farm, a popular Choose and Cut Christmas tree operation.

 

Mr. Prisk served in the U.S. Army in the Third Infantry Division, the New Jersey 50th Armored Division and the first Special Forces Reserve in Boston.

 

He graduated in 1951 from the Elmer L. Meyers High School in Wilkes Barre where he was President of his class. In 1955 he graduated from Rutgers College where he was president of his class all three years and was a member of the Cap and Skull and Crown and Scroll Associations. Mr. Prisk was a Vice President with Prudential Insurance Company in Boston and Newark. He retired in 1991 with thirty seven years of service.

 

He was a member of the Harvard Club of Boston and the Hawk Pointe Golf Club. Served on the Golf Committee and the Club’s advisory Committee. He was fondly called “the mayor” by friends at Hawk Pointe because he joined the club in its formative years and worked hard to know all the members.

 

He resided at the Reserve at Hawk Pointe with his late wife Elizabeth Scovill. He enjoyed serving as a Committeeman for the New Jersey Golf Association and served as a member of the Board and Vice President of the Hawk Pointe Condominium Association.

 

He is survived by his two sons, Thomas John Prisk of Chapel Hill, NC and David A. Prisk of Clinton NJ and six grandchildren.

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Anna Nagy, 96, of Raritan Township, NJ, formerly of Kingwood Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Independence Manor in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born April 12, 1918 in New York, NY, Anna lived most of her life in Kingwood Township before moving to Raritan Township eight years ago. Anna worked for Frenchtown Ceramics for 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and also enjoyed traveling. Anna was a former member of the Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church in Baptistown, NJ.

Daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Malko) Melnyk, Anna is survived by her sister Helen Scholtz. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Alex Nagy in 1980 and her brother William Melnyk.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Ann B. Borman, age 86, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born February 22, 1928 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hyman and Jeanette (Sift) Jacobs.

Predeceased by her brother, Simmy Jacobs, Ann is survived by her three daughters, Kimi Mittler of Ringoes, NJ, Cyd Little of Arlington, VA, and Jami Borman of Essex Fells, NJ. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and Samuel Borman.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – William D. Doyle, age 71 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded in love by his family and friends on October 31, 2014, at his home in Lebanon, NJ, where he resided for thirty-three years.

Born in Somerville, NJ, November 4, 1942, son of the late Richard and Winona Doyle, Bill has resided in Clinton Township since his marriage to Antje Doyle on September 12, 1981.

Bill retired in 1991 from the New Jersey State Police as Lieutenant after twenty-seven years of service. He then was the Sergeant-at-Arms of the New Jersey Assembly for four years. In 1995 he was elected as Sheriff of Hunterdon County where he served for twelve years.

He was active in the community and involved with the Clinton Elks, Flemington VFW, Quakertown Gun Club, Croton Gun Club and the NRA. Bill loved to go fishing and hunting on his parent’s farm in Neshanic Station as well as in Stuart, Florida. Bill and Antje traveled together all over the country as well as to visit family in Germany.

Bill is pre-deceased by one brother Richard Doyle.

Surviving are his wife, Antje Doyle of Clinton Township, NJ; one daughter, Kim Doyle of Flemington, NJ; two sons, William David Doyle, Jr. of Flemington, NJ and James Doyle of Clinton, NJ; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Ferrari of Ambler, PA; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Kathy Doyle of Neshanic Station, NJ, and a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Thomas Noonan of Berthoud, CO. Bill is also survived by four grandchildren, Samuel Doyle, Mark Doyle, Samantha Doyle and Charles Doyle and one great grandchild, Cameron, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in the Neshanic Cemetery, Hillsborough Township, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM in the Funeral Home.

Ann Marie Sherlock, age 69, of Tewksbury Twp

Ann Marie Sherlock, age 69, of Tewksbury Twp., NJ passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at St. Clare’s Compassionate Care in Dover, NJ.

She was born on May 8, 1945 in Yonkers, NY.  She was a resident of Tewksbury Twp., NJ for the past 41 years, moving from Piscataway, NJ. 

She was the daughter of the late Julius and Margaret Elizabeth Broderick Dolgos.

Ann Marie was the wife of John R. Sherlock, celebrating 46 years of marriage.  

She was an RN and worked for many years at Somerset Medical Center as a Charge Nurse in Cardiac Care.  Later, she worked at Morningstar Health Center in Clinton, NJ. 

In addition to being a Nurse, Ann Marie was a Jin Shin Jyutsu practioner (an ancient art of harmonizing energy in the body).  She volunteered at Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center providing Jin Shin Jyutsu on cancer patients. 

She was a member of the Women’s Club in Tewksbury Twp, volunteer for SAFE in Hunterdon and a former member of the Hunterdon Holistic Society.  In the early 1990’s, Ann Marie and her husband, John, ran a country inn on Lake Champlain called North Hero House in North Hero, VT.  

She was an animal lover, avid reader and loved having her cup of tea.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and granddaughters. 

Survivors in addition to her husband include 2 daughters; Laura Ann Sherlock of Tewksbury Twp., NJ and Christine M. Sherlock of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  1 son; Robert John Sherlock and his wife Amy Marie of Washington, NJ.  2 granddaughters; Isis P. Sherlock and Holly Ann Sherlock and one grandchild on the way in April 2015.  3 sisters; Mary Janicke and her husband Paul, Rosemary Samsel and her husband Ed and Dr. Elizabeth T. Dolgos and her husband Dr. Peter Sinks.  1 brother; Joseph Dolgos. 

Predeceased by 2 sisters; Sheila L. Rodrigue and Margaret E. Schneider. 

All services will be private.  Arrangements by Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Catherine Magrosky, age 85, of Bridgewater, NJ passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at home. 

She was born on July 9, 1929 in Chicago, IL and had resided in Bridgewater, NJ for many years. 

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine O’Malley Howell. 

Her husband, Clement ‘Clem’ R. Magrosky, passed away in 1993. 

She graduated from Rutgers University and worked for Ethicon in Bridgewater, NJ as a supervisor for over 20 years.   Later, she worked for Builtrite Shoe Store in Somerville, NJ. 

Betty was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Bridgewater, NJ where she was also a past Sunday School Teacher. 

Survivors include 3 sons; Frank B. Magrosky and his wife Fran of Hillsborough, NJ, Patrick J. Magrosky and his wife Debbie of Bridgewater, NJ and Heath Garrett Ashmore of Bridgewater, NJ.  4 grandchildren; Justine Colella and her husband Stephen of PA, Patrick Magrosky of PA, Darcy Magrosky of NJ and Brandon Magrosky of PA.  1 great-grandchild on the way in May 2015. 

Predeceased in addition to her husband by 1 daughter; Cheryl Ashmore and son-in-law Gary Ashmore who both passed in 1980.  1 brother; Robert Howell and 2 sisters; Joan Scarponi and Louise Perry.

PITTSTOWN, NJ – Patricia Anne Pribish, age 72, died Friday, November 7, 2014 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born February 21, 1942 in Sea Cliff, NY, Patricia was the daughter of the late William Peter and Margaret (Fox) Radley. Raised in Port Reading, NJ, she lived in Woodbridge before eventually moving to Pittstown in 1974, where she has lived since. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Perth Amboy, received training in 1963 to become a nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton, NJ, and then went on to receive a B.A. in History from Douglass College in 1985. Patricia worked as a nurse for many years with the Franklin Township (NJ) School System and was a volunteer with Planned Parenthood and Hunterdon Hospice.

Patricia was predeceased by her brother, William Radley, and her son-in-law, Joshua Robinson, and she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brendan and Kathryn Pribish of Austin TX, her daughter, Heather Robinson of Chatham, NJ, her former husband, John J. Pribish of Princeton, NJ, her sister, Margaret “Peggy” Neves of Fort Collins, CO, as well as her four grandchildren, Morgan, Bridget, Pierce, and Hudson.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Rd, Pittstown, NJ 08867. Interment will be private. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.

Michael Liskowacki

MILFORD, NJ – Michael Liskowacki, Sr., age 83 years, of Milford, NJ, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at Old Orchard Health Care Center in Easton, PA.

Born on February 9, 1931, in Flemington, NJ, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Hrichus) Liskowacki, and was a lifelong area resident, moving to Milford in the 1960’s.

Michael joined the US Marine Corps during the Korean War, and later worked for Lipton Tea Co. in Raritan Township, retiring after twenty-five years in 2000.

Michael’s wife, Anna Mae (Ludwig) Liskowacki, died in 2013.

Michael is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Edna Liskowacki, Michael and Sharon Liskowaski, Jr., and Samuel and Lori Liskowacki; six grandchildren, April and her husband, William Horton, Jason, Jeffrey, Brett, Joshua and Megan; and three great grandchildren, Michael, Nathan and Arybella. He is also survived by his brother, John Liskowacki, his sister, Helen Rynearson, as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Beatrice M. Etzel, age 90 years, of Croton, NJ (Raritan Township) died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at her home.

Born in Emmaus, PA., October 12, 1924, daughter of the late Irvin and Ella Snyder Schmoyer, she had resided in the Croton area since 1942.

She and her husband, Stanley Etzel who died in 1996, operated Etzel’s Restaurant, Croton, NJ, for thirty-five years until retiring.

Beatrice was a former member of the Croton Rod & Gun Club.

Surviving are a son, Robert W. Etzel of Croton, NJ; a daughter, Betty Leonard of Franklin, NC; two grandchildren, Carrianne Hoyle of Bethlehem PA. and Louis Esposito of Matawan, NJ; three great grandchildren, Owen Hoyle, Aidan Esposito, and Sylvie Esposito; and two sisters, Marion Flaherty of Columbus, OH. and Lillian Gunderman of Wind Gap, PA.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 1:30 PM in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Richard A. Collins, 65 died Thursday at the Cooper Hospital University Medical Center in Camden.

Born in Augusta ME, Richard had lived in Lambertville for the past 20 years. He was employed as a bridge officer with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission and was a member of the Hibernia Fire Co. Fire Police.

Son of the late George and Wave Collins, he is survived by his wife Marie Eichlin Collins, two brothers George Collins and his wife Rose, Robert Collins and his wife Anita, one sister Cookie Alder and her husband Steve.

Visitation will be Monday November 10 from 6:00- 8:00 pm at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville. Burial with military honors will be held 10:00 am on Monday November 17 at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 880 Highland Rd. Newtown, Pa.

 

Robert Peter Alway, 64, of Hampton – sudden heart attack

Obituary of Robert Alway

Robert Peter Alway, 64, of Hampton, left this earth unexpectedly on November 5, 2014 as a result of a sudden heart attack. At the time of his death, Robert was enjoying a beautiful fall day in New Jersey walking by the Spruce Run Reservoir, one of his favorite pastimes. We would like to thank the passerby who attempted to aid Robert in his final moments; we are so grateful that he was not alone.

 

He was born on February 22, 1950 in Pompton Lakes. He was the son of the late Harold Alway and Elizabeth Nichols Alway.

 

On August 11, 1990 he married Sheila Alway at the Hunterdon County Arboretum, and they moved to the town of Clinton. He was a resident of Hunterdon County for the next twenty six years.

 

He was an accomplished pastry chef and worked at the Ryland Inn, as well as on the Norwegian Cruise Lines, where he was able to visit his favorite state, Hawaii. Most recently, he worked at Lafayette College Dining Services in Easton, PA.

 

He was an avid outdoorsman and a passionate Yankees fan. He always looked forward to attending the annual Old Timer’s Day event as well as meandering drives to nowhere in the country. Robert loved all animals, and they universally adored him in return. Most of all, he enjoyed making those around him happy through his cooking.

 

Survivors in addition to his wife include his brother Eugene Alway, his sister-in-law Janet Alway, Brother and sister-in-law, John and Mindy Eibelhauser, step daughter Beth Goldberg: six nieces; Jeannie, Melissa, Amanda, Amy, Nina, Samantha and four nephews; Joseph, John, Tim, and Dan and many friends. Robert was predeceased by his three brothers: Benjamin, Thomas, and Lawrence Alway.

 

A memorial service will be held on Friday November 14, 2014 at 3:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Robert’s name.

Obituary of Barbara Feinberg

Barbara L. Feinberg, age 73, of Glen Gardner, NJ died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Barbara was born February 26, 1941 in Wilkes Barre, PA. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Cecil (Shaffer) Levisky.

 

She retired in 2003 from Runnels Hospital after twenty-two years as a Nurses Aide.

 

Barbara is survived by her husband: Norman Feinberg, two sons: William and his wife Julie Schwertfeger of Glen Gardner, NJ and Daniel Schwertfeger. Sister of three sisters: Darlene McGrory, Theresa Rogers, Virginia Martin and one brother: William Levisky. Also surviving are her eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

 

Barbara was predeceased by her two daughters Sharon Burke and Barbie Schumacher and her brother Louis Jr.

 

She will be greatly missed by her cat Missy.

 

Services are private under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809
