Catherine L. Lacidonia, age 91, of Union Twp., NJ passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at home.
She was born on February 1, 1923 in Bluefield, West Virginia. She was a resident of Hampton, NJ for the past 6 years, moving from Lakewood, NJ and had spent most of her life in Jersey City, NJ.
Her husband, Manuel ‘Bob’ Lacidonia, passed away several years ago.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Soluri Merante.
She worked as a seamstress in New York City for many years.
Catherine was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Pittstown, NJ.
Survivors include 1 daughter; Sharon Bednarczyk and her husband Joseph of Hampton, NJ. 2 grandchildren; Danielle DeCroce and her husband Christopher of Hampton, NJ and Douglas Bednarczyk of Marlton, NJ. 2 great-grandchildren; Adrienne DeCroce and Dominick DeCroce, both of Hampton, NJ. 1 sister; Josephine Pascarello and her husband Mario of Lakewood, NJ.
Predeceased by 1 sister; Angelina Yacenda.
Calling hours will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 2-6pm followed by a prayer service at 6pm. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Entombment will be private.
