Gail Elizabeth Goodman, daughter of the late Francis and Marjorie Alpaugh Sheridan of High Bridge and Kingwood Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at St. Clare’s Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ.
She was a lifelong resident of High Bridge and attended both the Elementary and High School class of 1957.
She was also a life member of the High Bridge Fire Department Emergency Squad and H.O.G. and also a member of the V8 Ford Club.
She was the coordinator of the North Hunterdon Training Group from 1971 to 1992. In addition, she was an E.M.T. and Fire Service Instructor.
Gail was also a member of the High Bridge Methodist Church.
She worked many jobs and lastly as a “911” dispatcher for Hunterdon County, which she did for over 12 years.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Osborn S. Goodman, Jr. of High Bridge. 7 children; Juanita ‘Sam’ Jacobs of Califon, NJ, Cristina ‘Goody’ Erickson of Ringoes, NJ, Annette ‘Net’ Miller of Frenchtown, NJ, Gregory ‘Greg’ Goodman Sr. of Oxnard, CA, Laurence ‘Larry’ Goodman Sr. of Carlisle, PA, Michael ‘Mike’ Goodman Sr. of Harrisburg, PA and Osborn ‘Osie’ S. Goodman III of Harmony, NJ. 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters, Glenda Fulcher of Clayton, DE and Marjorie Williamson and her husband Bill of San Leon, TX. 1 brother; Frank Sheridan, Sr. and his wife Eileen of LePorte and Flynn, TX. Several nieces and nephews.
At her request, there will be no service and cremation will be handled by Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home in High Bridge, NJ.
