Nicholas L. Pelosi, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8

Annandale, NJ- Nicholas L. Pelosi, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2013 at home with loving family by his side. Born in Newark, NJ, son of Nicholas and Angelina (Gamba) Pelosi, he resided in Clifton, NJ for three years, Cranford, NJ for twenty-five years and settled to Annandale in 1984.

Nicholas faithfully served his country with the United States Navy from 1951 to 1954. He had thirty years of dedicated employment with American Can Company in Hillside, NJ as a machinist and fifteen years with ExxonMobil in Clinton as a machinist, retiring in 1994. Nicholas was a man of all trades. He enjoyed outdoor activities especially gardening and loved weightlifting. His passion was ice skating.

Besides his parents, Nicholas was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Pelosi.

Nicholas leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Edith G. (Guido) Pelosi, with whom he shared fifty-eight years of marriage; three loving children, Nicholas J. Pelosi and his wife Cynthia, Joseph R. Pelosi and his wife Cynthia, and Linda A. and her husband Peter Lynch; dear sister, Carmela Tino and dear brother, Fred Pelosi. He will be deeply missed by four cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Kimberly, Kevin, and Jennifer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, October 10 from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday, October 11 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11 at the funeral home followed by committal words and entombment at St. Bernard Mausoleum in Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nicholas’ name to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
